Who is she?

Mac Marie is a passionate singing actress and teacher with a rich history of captivating audiences and nurturing emerging talent. Born and raised in Ventura California, her musical journey began in early childhood with church plays, piano lessons, and youth theater, setting the stage for a lifetime of artistic expression.

At just five years old, Mac Marie learned to read sheet music demonstrating her natural affinity for music. By 12, her discovery of classical singing during a summer program ignited her love for opera, leading her to pursue professional training. She refined her craft at the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) and later earned a full scholarship to the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music (BCCM) at California State University, Long Beach.

As part of the award-winning BCCM Chamber Choir, Mac Marie toured Europe twice and performed in globally recognized competitions, including the Choir of the World competition, where the ensemble won the Luciano Pavarotti Trophy. Her journey also brought unique opportunities, such as singing alongside Josh Groban at iconic venues like the Greek Theater and the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Mac Marie’s professional journey evolved beyond performing into education, film, and business. She has taught music to elementary students, worked as a voice instructor, and developed personalized musical experiences for seniors. Inspired by her grandfather’s visits to senior communities, she now curates heartfelt programs of seasonal nostalgic music for seniors.

Her teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive space for students to uncover their unique voices, develop strong technique, and overcome performance anxiety. With services ranging from private lessons to group workshops, she fosters growth and confidence in students aspiring to pursue vocal performance at a collegiate level.

When Mac Marie isn’t performing or teaching, she’s envisioning her next creative venture—a production company to merge her love for music, film, and storytelling. She remains committed to delivering meaningful musical experiences to her students and audiences alike.

Mac Marie’s mantra, “I’m not perfect, and that’s okay. I’m making music anyway,” reflects her dedication to progress over perfection, encouraging all she works with to embrace the joy of artistic expression.
